RedSand

Here in Riyadh, people are fond of going to Redsand either during Ramadan or Hajj holidays. During these times, almost all of the companies closes for one week to celebrate the occasions.  Most of the Filipinos come here with their families to unwind and have a relaxing moment.

This place is only one hour from the city center.  You can bring along food and drinks with you because there's no place you can buy anything you like there. You can also bring a blanket to sit on while you're there. You can also rent for a four wheel motorbike to go around the ground and the top of the mountains.

It's best for you to wear a rubber shoes when hiking, or better yet to wear just the usual sandals. When you wear a rubber shoes it's very easy to go up the hill, but on the bad side you will keep on taking off the sands that is going inside your shoes, and it's very uneasy and inconvenient. But when you are using the usual clogs, it's easier for you to take off the sands getting in between your toe fingers, but the disadvantage is it's difficult to climb up in the mountain top. So it's up to you which you prefer.

This place is best to go during winter, though the sun is up and shining, the cool wind will give you ease and comfort. I'm very amazed with the color of it's sand --- red orange, not exactly red as it is being called. LOL.  When I first saw the place and the mountains of sand, my first thought was God is so amazing and how wonderful His creations are.

If you prefer going out of the city nearby and want to get some fresh air and change the busy city mood, this is the place to go to. Rather than going to Al khobar and have a long hours of drive, it would just be so tiring and costly as well.
